A COLLABORATIVE POST WITH INTRODUCTION BY IAN HOWARD
ASSISTANT EDITOR, BOOM BOX POST
A few weeks ago we talked with our intern Katie Maynard about her interest in film, audio, and what she is most excited about for her internship here at Boom Box Post. This week, we'll chat with our other intern Sam Busekrus to learn more about her and what she has enjoyed from the internship so far.
Hi sam! so what grabbed your interest in sound for television & film?
I loved sound growing up especially in music. That shifted when I was in my Audio Production class in College when my professor gave us an assignment to go outside, close our eyes, and to just listen.
WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED ABOUT YOUR INTERNSHIP SO FAR?
I’ve really enjoyed the projects, especially on background/ambiance and sound effects. I had never really had a project focused on just background and ambiances and sound effects are just cool in general!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ANIMATED TELEVISION SHOW(s) OR MOVIE(s)?
UP and COCO.
WHAT'S THE CRAZIEST OR FAVORITE SOUND YOU HAVE EVER HEARD?
It was actually whileI was searching through the libraries at Boom Box. I came across a library that sound like magical ferry dust that I really liked.
IF YOU WERE A TYPE OF BREAD, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?
Cinnamon Crunch
